Vehicle lifts for ceiling heights up to 2.20 m: what is possible?
A ceiling height of 2.20 m is too low for many standard lifts. However, there are solutions that enable professional lifting even in such confined spaces. Particularly suitable are flat scissor lifts with a low installation height and special in-ground models where the lifting structure disappears into the floor.
Which lift types work with a 2.20 m ceiling height?
Scissor lifts generally have a very low installation height and are therefore well suited for low-headroom situations. Mobile lifts with limited travel also allow underbody maintenance without touching the ceiling. In-ground lifts installed flush with the floor can make particularly efficient use of the available lift height.
What should I watch out for when measuring the room height?
Measure the clear height at the lowest point of your hall – where the lift will be installed, accounting for beams, ventilation ducts or suspended ceilings. Always plan with a safety clearance of at least 30 cm between the vehicle roof and the ceiling at maximum lift. If you have doubts about feasibility, we're available for personal consultation.
