buy tyre mounting paste – smooth & gentle tyre mounting
Tyre mounting paste protects the rim and tyre bead and enables smooth mounting even for difficult tyre types. Here you'll find proven products for professional tyre service – suitable for all rim materials and tyre types.
What good mounting paste does:
- Smooth bead stretching: Reduces resistance when mounting the tyre bead onto the rim – protects the bead and the mounting machine.
- Suitable for all rims: Compatible with steel, aluminium and magnesium rims – no discolouration, no corrosion.
- Permanently in stock: Regularly needed mounting paste directly available – no shortages in your operation.
Mounting Paste in Tyre Service: Correct Selection and Application
Tyre mounting paste is an indispensable aid at every tyre change. Without paste, the tyre bead would be subjected to more stress when mounting on the rim, which can lead to damage – especially with stiff high-performance tyres. The machine works more easily, the rim stays undamaged and the tyre seals correctly.
Which mounting paste for which application?
For standard car tyres on steel and alloy rims, a universal white tyre mounting paste is suitable. For sensitive light alloy rims in chrome or polished finish, we recommend colourless or yellow pastes without soot, which don't leave dark residues. For truck tyres, which are under much higher pressure, thicker paste consistencies with higher adhesion are suitable.
How much mounting paste do I need per tyre?
It depends on the tyre type: for standard car tyres, a thin, even layer on the bead and rim bed is sufficient. Too much paste leads to dirt inside the tyre and can affect tyre balance. As a rule: less and applied evenly is better than a lot in one spot. For run-flat tyres and tyres with particularly stiff beads, slightly more paste may be used.
