They must safely lift vehicles weighing from 8,000 to over 18,000 kg and offer an entry width that is also sufficient for articulated buses over 2.5 metres wide. Such systems are usually planned individually and tailored to the respective operation.
What types of bus lifts are available?
Bus lifts are available as 4-post systems with wide platforms, as in-ground systems for large bus depots and as special eight-ram systems for very heavy vehicles. For use in large operations several systems are often combined or mobile jacks are used as a supplement to stationary systems.
