Mounting heads for tyre mounting machines – Replacement parts & accessories for all brands
The mounting head is the decisive contact element between the tyre mounting machine and the rim. Here you'll find replacement mounting heads and accessories for all common tyre mounting machine models. Not there? Write to us – we'll help you.
What makes a good mounting head:
- Rim-friendly: High-quality plastic mounting heads made of PA or nylon prevent scratches and damage to aluminium and light alloy rims.
- For all common brands: Replacement mounting heads for Corghi, ATH-Heinl, TRUSTERS, SICAM and other tyre mounting machine manufacturers.
- Replace in time: A worn mounting head scratches rims and compromises mounting quality – we recommend replacement when visible wear appears.

Mounting Heads: Function, Wear and Replacement
The mounting head sits on the mounting arm of the tyre mounting machine and guides the tyre bead over the rim edge. It's the only part of the machine that comes into direct contact with the rim – and thus directly responsible for possible scratches or damage. A good mounting head in perfect condition is therefore indispensable for rim-friendly mounting quality.
What material are mounting heads made of?
Mounting heads are made of various plastics – most commonly polyamide (PA/nylon), polyurethane or Teflon. Polyamide is robust and durable, polyurethane offers softer contact properties and is particularly gentle on sensitive rim surfaces. For chrome rims and high-gloss alloy rims, particularly soft mounting heads made of polyurethane are recommended.
When does a mounting head need to be replaced?
Signs of necessary replacement are: visible grooves or scoring on the contact surface, an uneven or angular surface, cracks or chips in the plastic material, and visible scratches on mounted rims after mounting. Don't wait too long for replacement – a worn mounting head causes significantly more costs through damaged rims in a short time than its replacement would cost.
