"Those who have been on the market since 1953 are doing a lot of things right." For us as retailers, Consul is therefore the first choice. With over 70 years of experience, Consul GmbH in Halver is a specialist in equipping automotive, body and paint shops and the automotive industry with standard and special lifting systems. Around 85 employees work there on around 9,000m² to produce around 4,000 lifting platforms of the highest standards every year.

What distinguishes Consul from cheap imports?

The difference lies in the detail and the material. Consul relies on an extremely high level of vertical integration – almost everything is manufactured in its own factory in the Sauerland region. The column profiles are often more stable, the bearings are of higher quality and the safety mechanisms are more sophisticated. How long has Consul been around?

Why is a Consul stage more expensive than typical Internet offers?

Quality has its price, but it's worth it. Consul does not produce in the Far East, but develops and manufactures directly in Germany (Halver). Here you are paying for solid steel, high-quality hydraulics and electronics that are designed to last for decades - not just the warranty period. While with cheap platforms you often look for wearing parts after a few years, a Consul simply keeps going.

Can I still get spare parts for old Consul stages?

That's one of the biggest advantages: Yes! Since Consul itself is a manufacturer and not just an importer, the supply of spare parts is excellent. We often even get parts for stages that are 20 or 30 years old. And because the warehouse is in Germany, you can usually have the parts in the workshop within a very short time.

Which lifts does Consul offer?

Why does Consul swear by the spindle drive for many models?

Because it is the pinnacle of lifting technology if you do it right. Consul does not use cheap threaded rods, but rather high-quality, rolled spindles with long-lasting support nuts (often made of bronze or special plastic). The result: The platform runs extremely quietly, can be controlled with millimeter precision (perfect for motor installation!) and is virtually indestructible mechanically. No sagging, no leaky hydraulics – just pure mechanics.

Are Consul platforms also suitable for electric cars and lowered sports cars?

Absolutely. Consul thinks for himself. The support arms are often designed to be very flat, so that you can also fit under sporty vehicles. For electric cars, the crucial issue is the mounting on the underbody (because of the battery). Consul offers a huge range of accessories including special mounting plates and adapters. This means you can lift everything from Smart to Tesla safely and without damage.

Is “Made in Germany” really still real here?

Yes, and we value that. Many people write this on it when they just install the plug in Germany. We have convinced ourselves. Consul actually manufactures the steel construction components, the spindles and the essential parts in Halver and the surrounding area. This not only secures jobs here, but also guarantees that the steel has the quality that is stated in the data sheet.

What happens if I have a technical problem?

Then we won't leave you out in the rain. Since Consul is based in Germany, we have a direct line to their technicians. We don't have to write emails to China and hope for Google Translate. For complex problems, there is real support from people who built the stage themselves. This is a level of service you simply don't get with imported goods.
