The machines are considerably more robustly built than car lifts and offer wider entry zones, larger arm systems and reinforced lifting mechanisms. Which vehicles belong to this load class?
Typical vehicles are medium-class vans and transporters such as the Sprinter or Crafter, flatbed trucks and chassis, and minibuses and minivans. The permissible gross weight of these vehicles is generally between 3.5 and 7.5 tonnes.
Special features for light commercial vehicle lifts
Important in this class is a sufficient entry width and a platform height suitable for vehicles with high roofs or bodywork. The workshop ceiling height must also be considered: commercial vehicles are considerably taller than cars – plan the lift height accordingly.
