Support nut wear test
In order to be able to carry out the wear test, it is necessary to remove the spindle cover plate in the column opening.
Measure the distance(test dimension) between the lower edge of the cage ring and the upper edge of the collar of the follower nut through a viewing hole in the lifting carriage (covered by a plug) using a feeler gauge or caliper gauge.
When new, the distance is 13.2 mm and may be a minimum of 11.2 mm.
