Support nut wear test:
In order to be able to carry out the wear test, it is necessary to dismantle the spindle cover plate in the column opening.
Measure the distance (test dimension) between the lower edge of the cage ring and the upper edge at the collar of the follower nut through a viewing hole in the lifting carriage (covered by a sealing plug) using a feeler gauge or caliper gauge.
The distance is 13.2 mm when new and may be a minimum of 11.2 mm .
