The cover closes off the release solenoid and the safety locking mechanism inside the column. It is bolted to the column of the Twin Busch TW 236, TW 242, TW 250 and TW 260 over the solenoid and protects the solenoid, plunger and locking pawl against dirt, grease and mechanical damage. A bent or missing cover can obstruct the movement of the locking pawl. Two-post lifts have one cover per column.
