The lower plastic protector set belongs to the PowerMONT mounting tool of Hofmann monty tyre changers. The plastic inserts sit on the lower section of the mounting head and prevent direct metal contact between the tool and the rim flange. While mounting and demounting the tyre they protect sensitive steel and alloy rims against scratches, scoring and pressure marks. Worn inserts lose their protective effect and should be replaced as a complete set.
